Michael Kyprianou & Co undertakes the representation of applicants for national, international or European patent applications and also for the validation of granted European patents in Cyprus. Most European or PCT applications have Cyprus as one of their designated countries. Upon entry to the national phase and following the date of grant the patent must be filed with the Registrar of Patents in Cyprus within three months from the publication of the European grant. The Cyprus Registrar will not accept a PCT application if it is not a granted European patent. The application for validation must include the translated description, claims, abstract and drawings (if any). Our firm can also assist the applicant by undertaking technical translations in the Greek language in the areas of chemistry, biochemistry and many others.
